Stylish Looks From Paris Fashion Week 2023

Drumrolls! It is that time of the year again when your efforts to find spring/summer 2024 outfits will take a back seat. As Paris haute couture fashion week is just around the corner, get ready to be astonished, inspired, and influenced by the intricate detailing pioneered by designers.

For those who don’t know, the high-end fashion event not only witnesses the art of designers walking on the ramp but also the presence of the best names in the fashion industry. Why? They want to be in the loop with recent fashion trends and styles before anyone else does. In a haute couture like PFW with various high-end designers and their stunning ready-to-wear pieces, there were still few fashion houses that had attracted our undue attention.

1. Dior

At the house of Dior, women have always played a mainstream role. The creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has paid homage to powerful women like Catherine Dior, Catherine de Medici, and many more in recent years. And yet again, at PFW SS24, Dior comes with the same intent. With tailored and cinched suits and long, pleated skirts, Dior infused the feeling of traditional feminism on runway shows.

2. Valentino

Unlike the Valentino fall/winter 2022 Barbiecore collection and fall/winter 2023 black tie dress codes, this year, Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Valentino radiates minimalism with a modern silhouette. American model Kaia Gerber, wearing a white English chandelier-style mini dress, was the first to capture the attention of fashion enthusiasts. For SS24, Valentino was surely about emanating femininity with the touch of pocket cuts.

3. Saint Laurent

For PFW SS24, The Belgian-Italian designer Anthony Vaccarello welcomed his friends, family, and celebrity attendees, including Kate Moss and Hailey Bieber, to be a part of the great artistry. Inspired by renowned female pilots and aviators complemented with neutral colors, Vaccarello’s designs are the perfect example of maintaining a balance between strength and elegance.

4. Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham’s PFW SS24 is a collection close to her heart as it was attached to her passion for ballet before the Spice Girl era and her love for the British countryside, which is least to say quite visible on the runway. Her designs effortlessly portrayed her roots while maintaining the patent balance between masculinity and femininity. The presence of the Beckham family and the Kardashian dual only added to the show’s allure.

5. Balenciaga

As stated by Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, Paris Fashion Week SS24 is the most personal and favorite collection so far. With Demna’s mother opening the show with a mutated car coat and Demna’s husband closing the show dressing up as a bride, Balenciaga has broken all fashion stereotypes. Overall, the show was a little floral and a lot more black and white with padded shoulders and striking contemporary looks.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 has ended, leaving us with unforgettable and breathtaking looks. From exclusive designer collections to street style fashion, the city of love was filled with endless fashion inspiration while extending the same a little far to us. As far as the runway is concerned, it was all about twisting the Parisian style in such a manner that it results in favored contemporary, modern yet classic — not losing the essence of femininity.
